Absolutely stunning location overlooking the Gulf of St Lawrence with amazing sunset views. Chimney corner beach is one of the most perfect beaches in NS and a short 2-min. drive from the property. The property has a cool ‘cottage’ aesthetic and is very clean and modern as pictures depict. Would stay there again.

It’s hard to believe, but the view was even more magical than described in the listing. Our first night we opened a bottle of local wine and watched the sunset over the ocean. The cottage is modern and well-designed and comes with everything you need. A perfect getaway spot! James H, 2020
We had an amazing vacation! Property is beautifully appointed. Views second to none.30 minutes to Cheticamp and (20 to) Inverness which boast great dining options. The cottage gives you an incredible sense of privacy–you feel very secluded. The design of the cottage is warm and inviting. We would highly recommend and would certainly return! Thanks so much Stewart and Bell!

Let me start by saying that immediately following a Facebook post highlighting our week-long stay in Chimney Corner, I had dozens of friends ask for the link to stay at Cape Cottage. The pictures don't lie. If you've never been to Cape Breton Island, put it on your bucket list, While the entire west coast of the island is absolutely stunning and definitely worth exploring, Chimney Corner beach, just a two-minute drive away from Cape Cottage, wins the prize. Literally, the warmest and clearest waters north of the Carolina's with powdery sand. Who knew? Don't waste your time searching for other properties. This is the one.

If you want to visit the western coast of Cape Breton, this Cottage is the perfect place to stay. It is centrally located, peaceful and overlooking the ocean. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The owner was better than a tour guide! His generous advice allowed us to discover gems that we would have overlooked otherwise. Many thanks Stewart. Johanne B. 2019
The cabin was clean and very tastefully decorated and furnished. We enjoyed every second there. Evenings graced us with beautiful and magnificent sunsets over the ocean. It is a very peaceful and quiet place in the forest. Deer were frequent guests there and a little patience was rewarded with spotting whales in the ocean and eagles on a rocky outcrop above the water... Stewart, told us about many attractions and incredible places to eat we would totally miss otherwise (so do yourself a favor and check them out). Wieslaw J., 2019
"Our family had the best week in Cape Cottage last summer of our whole road trip from Bangor to Cape Breton. The location is truly magical, amazing views of the ocean and wildlife passing by. We saw a shoal of dolphins easily 50+ one morning and bald eagles overhead. Cape Cottage is very private surrounded by woodlands and a beautiful meadow which the children adored. The cottage itself is immaculate, modern with rustic touches, and a perfect deck for relaxing and star gazing in the evenings." BEN J., MANCHESTER
"We loved this cottage -- both inside and out. The views are gorgeous -- a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The interior is also lovely -- cozy yet roomy at the same time. Great design and great furnishings….Chimney Corner beach is as nice as you'll find in Cape Breton" SETH E. 2018
"For us, two of the most important aspects of a trip are the accommodation and view. We couldn't have done any better than the Cape Cottage. The interior is straight out of a design magazine; vaulted ceilings, big windows, natural materials, and attention to detail. The kitchen appliances are state of the art. There is gas burning stove in the main area and one of the most generous showers we've ever encountered. The overall impression was one of peaceful sanctuary. Outside, there is forest on 3 sides and the ocean in front. From the deck we filmed whales and amazing sunsets. At night, the stars were overwhelming. … We are still talking to friends and sharing pictures about our wonderful time in September." JOANNE F. 2018
"The views of the water, the cliffs dropping towards the Gulf, the offshore island, the spectacular, constantly changing horizon of blue skies, clouds and mist, and an endless parade of colors; all of this adorned the very special cabin that Stewart has built. We were immediately impressed by the design and workmanship of the cabin, and came to feel quite at home in a short period of time. The cabin was well equipped, clean, and just as represented on the internet. Stewart, the owner, joined us early on to give us a very thorough tourist briefing, which we actually followed with great pleasure." ANON
"The Cape Cottage turned out to be the perfect spot....and what a view! if you enjoy sunsets it doesn't get any better. We did quite a bit of traveling on the Cabot trail and both agree that the west side of the island is the place to be. If we were out for a day we always found ourselves racing back to catch the sunset." CHARLIE AND TONYA M.
"If you are looking for a place far from the city where you can hear yourself think while looking at the sun setting on the ocean, this is the place for you! I need a place to look and feel good, and this cottage was exactly what I was looking for. The design was carefully chosen to be at the same time very contemporary while integrating elements of the nature. Still, it felt like home. The location was great too!" CYNTHIA B.
"The cottage is perfect for a couple or family with one child." GARRETT USA
"The panoramic view is staggering. Kathleen and I never tired of it during our week in the Cape Cottage. Whether you are inside looking out, or outside on the broad, open deck on the water side, the sense of sky, sea, and woods takes possession of you. Inside the cottage is smartly and comfortably furnished, not cluttered with years of accretions but equipped with everything we needed or wanted." ALVIN L., HAMILTON
